SUNDAY WITH TRAVELKITDS IN PALM BEACH
Palm Beach is located approximately one hour drive from Miami.
You can stay just for a day but it’s better to spend a whole weekend there.
We love to go to Palm beach with the kids because you can do everything by walk or bike.
There are many activites to do: museums, good restaurants, beaches… A lot of entertainment in a small, beautiful city!
WHAT TO DO?
Worth Avenue: A charming street luxury shopping stores, art galleries and nice little dead ends. You will feel like in Italy or France walking by this Avenue.
Breakers Hotel: Built in 1896, this hotel is a must see in Palm Beach.
If staying a night might be over budget, you can simply visit the hotel, drink a coffee, and admire the ocean view. They also have a playground if needed.
Golf: if you are a golf player, Palm beach is made for you!
S Laker Dr: a small street on the bay view
Henri Morrison Flagler Museum: Designed in 1902 by John Carrere and Thomas Hastings, students of the Ecole des Beaux arts in Paris, it has been built by Henri Flagler for his wife Lily Kenan. This house is spectacular, you can visit it and enjoy the architecture and history of this place. It’s totally accessible for children, strollers are not allowed so you should take your baby carrier.
Open Tuesday through Saturday 10 am 5pm.
I recommend booking your ticket online
Sant Ambreus: An Italian restaurant since 1936. They opened their first US restaurant in New York in 1982 and offer traditional and tasty Italian food. They continue to grow and fortunately they opened a location in Palm beach. And they might arrive soon in Miami!!
Their pastas and pastries are amazing and for sure you will have a great family time.
Pizza al Fresco: Delicious pizzas and a nice patio.
Beaches: Palm beach has beautiful public beaches
Norton Museum: Located in West Palm beach, this art museum was founded in 1941 by Ralph Hubbard Norton and his wife Elisabeth Calhoun Norton. You will discover more than 8000 arts from European, American, Chinese and contemporary artists. There are also frequent exhibits. The last one was about Frida Khalo and since then, my daughter talks a lot about her paintings!
There are many other things to do, like the Society of the Four Arts Botanical Garden that we plan to visit next time!
We hope you will enjoy it!
